$11,000 Donated to Ronald McDonald House Charities
August 10, 2017 – Summit Truck Group of Memphis TN held their 15th Annual Golf Tournament in Collierville TN on June 8th. This year, Summit offered various sponsorship levels to select suppliers to help fund the tournament, with a percentage of all money raised going directly to the Ronald McDonald House Charities in Memphis. A total of $11,000 was raised for this charity and, recently, several Summit staff presented the check to the Ronald McDonald House in Memphis, where they received a tour of the facility and background information on what it takes to keep the facility operating.
Ronald McDonald House Charities of Memphis, at no charge to their guests, provides supportive services and “keeps families close” while children are receiving treatment for cancer and other catastrophic childhood illnesses at St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital. They enable families to focus on the health of their children rather than anything else ‒ paying bills, cooking meals, or cleaning the house.
The following suppliers contributed to Summit Truck Group’s event this year, which allowed Summit to donate funds to the Ronald McDonald House Charities: BMO, Commercial Fleet Finance, Cummins, Delco Remy, Eaton, Engs Finance, ExxonMobil, First Tennessee Bank, Fleetguard, Fontaine, Isuzu, Mace’s Towing, Meritor, Morgan Corp., Premium 2000, Shell, Shepherd Insurance, Webb Wheel, and Weller Truck Parts.
Summit’s annual golf tournament provides a great opportunity for Summit’s employees to interact with customers in a more informal setting, as well as for both Summit sales teams and customers to meet with key suppliers. Summit appreciates our customers, employees, and supplier partners who helped Summit raise money for Ronald McDonald House Charities location in Memphis this year. We look forward to holding this event again next year.
